Helen Mirren and Jack Nicholson have been voted the world’s sexiest older female and male stars. Helen, 61, who has been named in the Best Actress category for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II in “The Queen,” came top of the ladies, beating Italian screen legend Sophia Loren who came second and Judi Dench, who came third.

“The Devil Wears Prada” actress Meryl Streep, 57, was in fourth place followed by Diane Keaton, 61, who starred in “Something’s Gotta Give.”

Veteran actor Jack Nicholson - famous for his roles in movies such as “The Shining,” “The Postman Always Rings Twice” and “A Few Good Men” - was named sexiest man in the poll conducted by DVD rental company LoveFilm, in which 2,700 film fans took part. In second place was Sean Connery, 76, followed by Robert Redford, 70, Clint Eastwood, 76 and “Lethal Weapon” star Danny Glover, 60.
